SHEEP SHAUN’S LABORATORY – LANGUAGE WORKSHOPS WITH MACARENA’S WORLD

During the workshops, we’ll combine the magic of cinema with dynamic language games and spectacular experiments.

In small research groups, the children will decode secret recipes in English, complete engaging physical challenges and create their own bubbling volcanoes or dancing lava lamps. Every participant will leave the laboratory with a souvenir worksheet and a Young Scientist certificate!

The workshops will be led by Tina Siphelele, a native speaker who will take us on a truly British language journey, and Monika Goździerska, an English language methodologist and owner of Macarena’s World in Poznań, who has been organising her now-iconic cultural and language workshops for seven years.

No prior knowledge of English is required – we’ll make sure that even children who are just beginning their adventure with the language can join in the fun. All activities will be carried out under the supervision of the facilitators and using safe materials appropriate for the participants’ age.

The workshops are designed for children aged 7 to 12. The number of places on the workshops is limited. Participation in the workshops is only possible after purchasing a ‘WORKSHOP+SCREENING’ ticket, which covers the child’s participation in the activities and a seat at the film screening. It is not possible to purchase a ticket for the workshop alone. Adults accompanying the young chemists may observe the workshop without having to purchase a ‘WORKSHOP+SCREENING’ ticket.

The workshop takes place in cinema screen 3 at the Muza Cinema from 10.00am to 11.45am. After the workshop, participants will watch the movie SHAUN THE SHEEP: THE BEAST OF MOSSY BOTTOM.

The screening begins at 12:00pm in cinema screen 2 at the Muza Cinema.

Guardians must hold a valid ticket (the ‘SCREENING’ option) to accompany the young viewers during the screening.

The workshops are organised in collaboration with the Macarena’s World Language Centre.
