BLUE - TRILOGY
BLUE - TRILOGY
The beloved series BLUEY captures tenderness, humour and an authentic look at family life. The final trilogy of the third season delves into the emotions that accompany change and new beginnings, while also reminding audiences why they fell in love with the earlier adventures of the Heelers' family.
The iconic series invites viewers to reflect on emotions surrounding transitions and fresh starts, with the extended episode THE SIGN offering particularly poignant moments. Interwoven with these stories are nods to previous adventures of the Heeler family, celebrating the qualities that have won the hearts of audiences worldwide in this exceptional production co-created by the BBC.
Three connected episodes - GHOSTBASKET, THE SIGN and SURPRISE! - form a narrative about the Heeler family facing new challenges and changes. Through imaginative and humorous domestic play, the series raises questions about what makes a home, a family, and a sense of closeness. From games of make-believe to moments of unease to tender glimpses into the future, we accompany the beloved characters as they grow up and discover that every change can mark the start of something wonderful.
The stories are inspired by the everyday life of series creator Joe Brumm, who drew on his own family experiences. This honesty and authenticity have become hallmarks of BLUEY, alongside its carefully crafted visuals and outstanding musical design. The series has earned numerous accolades, including the BAFTA Children’s Award, the International Emmy Kids Award, and the prestigious Peabody Award, with its episodes achieving record-breaking audiences.
BLUEY forms part of CBeebies, the BBC’s channel for young viewers, which has long championed programming that nurtures sensitivity, imagination and curiosity. The series perfectly embodies this mission, showing that through play, children can explore emotions, build relationships, and learn to navigate life together with tenderness.
